We are fortunate to work on a varied portfolio of projects across multiple sectors and are knowledgeable and experienced in a range of project types from small domestic extensions and alterations to multi storey mixed use developments, industrial units, healthcare and anything in between including listed buildings and historical sites.

No project is too small or too big. We are small enough to provide a personal service to the smallest of alterations but experienced enough to succesfully deliver complex and challenging commercial projects.

PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL

We work on a variety of residential projects which can range from the smallest of alterations and extensions to extensive alterations and renovations with large multi storey extensions through to new builds and replacement dwellings. Whatever the size, scale and budget of your project, our love of design, detailing and exceptionally high standards ensure we create your very own ‘Grand Design’. We can transform small and tired homes into spacious, light and contemporary modern spaces which provides new options to clients rather than having to move to a larger house.

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS

Our work spans across the public and private sectors and we work closely with stakeholders, developers and private investors on various housing projects from small to medium sized housing developments to larger multi storey apartment complexes. We take care of all the planning and technical work and also collaborate with contractors on a Design and Build basis.

HERITAGE, LISTED BUILDINGS & TRADITIONAL CONSTRUCTION

There is little more satisfying than working on historical buildings where the simplest of design and construction results in the most inspiring and impressive architecture which is rarely achieved with new buildings. The challenge presented by traditional buildings is one we at Evans Architectural revel in and we take pride in our knowledge of traditional construction methods whether it may be for a derelict farm outbuilding or a prominent building in a historical setting with a listed building status. When working with traditional or historical buildings we research the history of the building and ensure we fully understand the traditional construction methods and the materials used to ensure any proposed work is carried out in a sensitive way that is true to the character and nature of the building.

When working on existing buildings we achieve harmony and balance between the new and old, injecting life into what are often tired and neglected structures but always with respect to the heritage and character of the existing structures. Because we are passionate about our historic environment, we approach each project whether it be building restoration, repair or a new intervention with an understanding of the significance of the heritage related to the site or buildings.

Our aim is to sensitively integrate contemporary architecture with building conservation. We promote the careful restoration of our built heritage, but believe where an original use is no longer viable, that buildings must develop and adapt to the changing social and cultural needs of society.

We do not feel the need to replicate the past, but understand the importance of researching and understanding of the buildings history to ensure that interventions and additions are appropriate.

HOTELS, COMMERCIAL, RETAIL & WORK SPACES

We carry out all aspects of work across a variety of commercial and business sectors including projects such as gyms, hotels, offices, commercial/ retail spaces, and factory spaces which may involve anything from change of use, landlord shell works, general alterations to interior design and fit out.

INDUSTRIAL

We are currently involved with a number of industrial developments across South Wales and have the experince and knowledge to deliver your project whether it is a small individual unit or a development of multiple units on a purpose made industrial site. We offer a full range of services from feasibility, all stages of planning including pre-application consultation and PAC Reports for major developments, detailed design through to fully detailed Tender and Construction information.

HEALTHCARE

We've been involved with a number of 'high end' private healthcare and dental projects across the UK and have played a critical role in delivering complex projects to a high standard. Since 2017 we have worked in collaboration with Paradigm Design Solutions Ltd who are at the forefront of dental practice and surgery design in the UK.
